Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Assistant Machine Operator to join our production team in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves supporting the Machine Operator in the daily operation of machines used to manufacture cardboard boxes. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Machine Operator in feeding cardboard sheets into production machines
Ensure continuous flow of materials to maintain production efficiency
Monitor the machine area to ensure safe and smooth operation
Remove finished products and stack or bundle as needed
Perform basic quality checks to identify any defects or issues
Keep the work area clean and organized
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Communicate any issues or irregularities to the Machine Operator or Supervisor promptly
Requirements:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus but not required
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of safety practices in a production setting
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
