We are a Plastic Injection molding company in the city of Brea. We are currently looking to fill a Quality Control Inspector position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and run inspection machines and equipment

Work with Quality, Manufacturing and engineering team to solve problems in manufacturing of out of tolerance parts

Create and maintain documents outlining step-by- step processes they followed for inspection tasks for specific jobs

Reading and understanding drawings, specifications and other documents

Writing and maintaining inspection logs

Perform Visual/ and or Cosmetic inspection of product following applicable procedures using appropriate light sources

Perform functional and destructive testing using Instron Tensile/ Compression tester or similar

Mentor equipment to ensure proper operation and escalate any equipment related issues

Quarantine non confirming or potential non confirming parts or materials and complete necessary reports.

Complete First article inspections as well as receiving, in- process, and final and packaging inspections against customer requirements with minimal supervision

Inspect customer returned parts

Under guidance, perform first piece inspections to support production and perform Internal manufactured first articles.

Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management systems. (QMS)

Participate in investigations of CARs and NCRs

Work as directed

Qualifications/ Requirements:

Plastic Injection Molding experience

5 years of Quality Control experience specifically in Plastic warehouse

Ability to perform first article inspections

Knowledge with: Gauging such as: thread gages, Plug gauges, Pin gages, functional gages

Familiar with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements

Ability to read and interpret drawings/ prints

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Computer skills: Microsoft Word & Excel

Able to stand long hours

Punctual

Keep a clean work area

Team player

Bilingual (Spanish and English)

Attention to detail

Payrate: $25-$30/HR

Schedule: 1ST shift- 7am- 3:30pm
