We are a plastic fabrication company in the city of Brea. We are currently looking for an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician

Position Overview:

As an Injection Molding Process Technician, you will perform critical tasks such as mold setting, startup, production troubleshooting, and new mold testing and qualification. Your expertise will ensure that all processes align with the companies’ standards and that quality products are delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Mold Setup & Testing: Set up molds, auxiliary equipment, and ensure optimal cycle times in line with Plastic Mold Test Procedures.

Process Documentation: Complete a comprehensive process book for each mold, documenting all parameters and setup requirements.

Quality Verification: Confirm that critical dimensions and cosmetic specifications meet customer standards.

Troubleshooting: Start and troubleshoot production molding machines per the production schedule, ensuring minimal downtime.

Guideline Development: Assist in creating a “Runs Best” guide for each mold to optimize performance.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on molding machines, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team, adhering to safety protocols and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years in injection mold processing, with hands-on expertise in mold setup and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with complex molds, hot runner molds, insert molding, and over molding is essential.

Strong mechanical evaluation abilities and knowledge of scientific molding methods, SPC, and mold process optimization.

Proficient in Windows-based systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP software (e.g., IQMS).

Ability to read, interpret, and create documents related to injection molding. Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Competency in basic arithmetic and measurements.

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Shift Availability:

Day Shift: Required

Night Shift: Required

Overnight Shift: Required

Flexibility in scheduling is essential until a final schedule is established.
