Marketing Assistant – Social Media, SEO & Product Copy (Full-Time)

Are you passionate about digital marketing, SEO, and e-commerce? Fish and Coral Store, a rapidly growing nationwide e-commerce business with a local storefront, is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team! This role is perfect for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in social media ads, SEO, product copywriting, and e-commerce marketing.
You’ll work directly with our Marketing Director, learning how to optimize product listings, drive traffic, and increase conversions using Google Merchant Center, keyword planning tools, and WooCommerce/Shopify plugins.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with creation and management of paid ad campaigns for social media and B2C (Business to Consumer) Channels (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, etc.).
-Assist with Writing compelling product descriptions and optimize copy for SEO and conversion rates.
-Assist with Managing WooCommerce campaigns, with a focus on understanding plugins and how to leverage them for automation, SEO, and sales optimization.
-Research high-ranking keywords and integrate them into ad campaigns, product listings, and blog content.
-Optimize product titles and descriptions for Google Merchant Center to increase click-through rate (CTR) and visibility.
-Track Google Merchant Center metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR) and adjust keyword strategies accordingly.
Assist in email marketing, local advertising, and community event promotions.
Collaborate on e-commerce and local marketing strategies to drive engagement and revenue.
What You'll Learn:
-How to utilize WooCommerce & Shopify plugins for automation, SEO, and enhancing the customer shopping experience.
-Google Merchant Center best practices, including how to manage product feeds, analyze clicks, impressions, and CTR, and optimize product titles and descriptions for better search visibility.
-Advanced SEO strategies, including keyword research, competitor analysis, and content optimization using tools like AHREFS, -Google Trends, and other third-party SEO platforms.
-How to improve ad performance through A/B testing, keyword optimization, and bid adjustments.
-Hands-on experience in email marketing, direct marketing, and community outreach.
-How to track and measure performance using Google Analytics and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
-1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media, SEO, or e-commerce (not required but a plus).
-Knowledge of WooCommerce & Shopify plugins and how to utilize them for e-commerce optimization.
-Experience with Google Merchant Center and a strong understanding of clicks, impressions, CTR, and keyword strategy for product listings.
-Proficiency in keyword research tools like AHREFS, Google Trends, and other third-party platforms.
-Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
-Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new tools quickly.
-Teachable and coachable attitude with a desire to grow in the field.
