We’re looking for a Copywriter to be a part of our creative, chipper and certainly convivial marketing team. Melissa is a rapidly growing software company and leading provider of global address verification, identity authentication and data management solutions that businesses worldwide can use to improve communications, gain customer insights, reduce waste and drive ROI. Our headquarters is in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. and we have an immediate opening for a full-time, in-house junior copywriter.
You will be responsible for the creation of compelling content for our website, print and digital marketing materials. If you thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, are compulsive about word play, and want to deliver impactful content for multiple industries and audience groups, then Melissa is the place for you!
What You’ll Do
Research and write content for a variety of marketing channels including advertorials, email blasts, eBooks, case studies, catalogs,
brochures, blogs, community-building initiatives and more.
Creatively position new and existing products through persuasive content that is differentiated from competitors
Develop and maintain editorial content calendar
Interface with sales and other departments to keep them in the loop on marketing materials and special promotions
Assist in reaching out to customers for testimonials and case studies
Other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Marketing Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Business OR equivalent experience.
1-2 years of experience in a content role within the marketing arena
SEO skills, keyword research/selection, on-page optimization (preferred but not required)
Demonstrated ability to adjust tone and style to fit a variety of audiences

Job Type
This position offers a full-time hybrid schedule from Monday to Friday. During the initial 90 days, your commitment will be full-time in the office, making this opportunity ideal for local applicants within commuting distance.
Pay Range
$48,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year / $23.07 - $25.48 per hour
