A boutique law firm located in Newport Beach is seeking an Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-20 years of experience in family law, including experience with discovery in the civil litigation context, oral advocacy and appearing in court, motion practice and taking/defending depositions. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, eager to learn and grow with the firm, and can navigate a multitude of personalities and affairs. This position will report directly to the Managing Attorney and collaborate with the firm’s leadership team. The position will see you drafting motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and other documents including orders; assisting with document review and revision as well as filing documents in case management system; preparing for hearings, trials, depositions, interrogations, and other legal meetings; preparing for discovery and responding to discovery requests from clients and opposing counsel; maintaining case records, including client notes, case files, and attorney notes. Strong negotiation skills, excellent writing, and public speaking skills are ideal.
The salary for this position will be $100,000-$175,000 per year. The successful candidate’s salary for this position is reasonably expected to be set within this range; however, actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
