Provide administrative support for a real estate attorney, including editing legal documents, managing schedules, preparing correspondence, and handling client communications and property management administrative support.
- Edit documents such as leases, purchase and sale agreements, correspondence, and corporate records.
- Maintain client files and track important deadlines, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and properly organized.
- Manage client intake, including gathering initial information and documentation.
- Assist with filing or recording documents with state governments and local agencies.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones, managing emails, and ordering office supplies.
Qualifications:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have experience as a legal secretary, preferably in a business law environment.
- Experience editing pdfs (adobe acrobat or similar program)
- Preferred familiarity with legal research tools and case management software (ex. Lexus Nexus).
- Knowledge of legal and real estate terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic banking, bill paying and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
