At Southern California Law Advocates, a solo practice, we provide compassionate and effective legal support to clients during their most critical times.
We’re looking for an experienced Bankruptcy/Probate Paralegal to join our distinguished team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional legal service with integrity and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments for bankruptcy and estate planning.
Gather and organize client documents; file bankruptcy cases in court.
Collect post-filing documents from clients and submit them to the trustee.
Prepare and file initial probate petitions and supplemental paperwork.
Enter preliminary estate planning information for living trusts and other documents.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in bankruptcy law.
Proficiency in Bestcase, MyCase, ECF Filing, and PACER.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Kind, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent when interacting with clients.
Preferred Candidate:
Quick learner who can manage deadlines and tasks efficiently.
Capable of transitioning to independent work over time.
Analytical skills and ability to understand local court rules.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
