Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate to join our legal team as a Bankruptcy Lawyer. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience, be licensed to practice law, and have hands-on experience with Bestcase software. This role involves providing legal advice, representing clients in court, and conducting comprehensive legal research. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the legal system are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in bankruptcy cases
- Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bankruptcy Lawyer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law principles and procedures, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13
- Proficient in legal drafting, research, and analysis
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
- Experience with Bestcase software
- Ability to write clear and concise legal documents
- Demonstrated ability to litigate cases successfully
