We are looking to employ an HR Assistant with outstanding administrative and communication skills. An HR Assistant is expected to be a conceptual thinker with superb organizational and time management skills. You must be reliable and should accurately follow instructions with the ability to multitask and acclimatize in a fast-paced environment.
To ensure success, HR Assistants should display remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration.
Qualifications
1 to 3 years’ experience in Human Resources
Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
Effective HR administration and people management skills.
Exposure to payroll practices, hiring, and benefits management
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices; performance management, compensation, and wage structure, classifying employees, sexual harassment laws, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Functions and Responsibilities
Maintain records of personnel-related data in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations
Liaise with other departments as necessary: payroll, benefits, training, and education, etc
Respond to internal and external related HR inquiries and requests and aid
Support the recruitment/hiring process and staffing programs and running background checks, assisting with short listing, and issuing employment contracts as necessary
Performs orientations, onboarding, and collecting records for new hires
Coordinate benefits administration, processing benefits claims, conducting educational programs on benefits programs
Coordinating employee incentive programs
Aiding with company provided events, giveaways, and team fellowship
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing all other related requirements as needed
All other duties and tasks deemed necessary and appropriate by HR Manager
