Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Medicine Assistant to join our Chiropractic team! We are looking for a positive, upbeat, hardworking team member who loves working both one-on-one and in teams with others. This position requires someone comfortable performing physical rehabilitation on patients and directing patients' safely with their physical home care activities. We want someone who is motivated to treat as many people as possible, who is in alignment with natural health solutions, and who will encourage natural physical and biochemical health to reduce pain and inflammation. Note: this is a year-round position.

Duties:

- Taking down patient SOAP notes in real time, documenting all exams, and preparing treatment plans.

- Include recommended supplements on every SOAP note.

- Execute various aspects of the physical exam under the doctor's supervision.

- Create daily social media content with patient consent.

- Encourage patients to complete their treatment plan.

- Follow the treatment plan and therapies determined by the doctor.

- Be able to determine the patient's stressed and tight muscles by touch.

- Build trust with patients and listen with empathy to patients during appointments, and adjust their physical technique to meet the needs of the patients.

- Protect patient information and abide by HIPPA laws.

- Maintain a professional and clean appearance and treatment area.

- Effectively communicate with staff and patients.

- Demonstrate an ability to learn, be coachable, and willing to keep on learning and perfecting your skills as you grow in your position.

- Maintain continued education as required annually by CLM.

- Be able to sit and stand at a desk or computer for prolonged periods.

- Be physically able to use your body to demonstrate exercises and assist with physical work with patients.

- Be able to lift 10-50 pounds.

- Be physically able to perform soft tissue techniques while maintaining a safe, relaxing, and professional experience.

Experience:

- Experience as a Physical Medicine Assistant, 1 year preferred

- Familiarity with geriatric, children, and acute/chronic care settings.

- Knowledge of physical medicine and natural medicine health principles and practices.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care and safety.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.

- Knowledge of soft tissue techniques is desired

- Proficiency in medical terminology and ability to read and interpret patient records and treatment plans.

- Customer Service experience, 1 year preferred
