Hi! We are seeking a caregiver for grandma. She’s a 92 year old lady, fairly independent and doesn’t speak much English. Due to recent diagnosis with Alzheimer’s we’re looking for someone with a bit of knowledge/experience in care giving. She’s clear minded enough to continue living independently however she needs someone organized who’s able to take the lead as caregiver. We are looking for a caregiver comfortable with boundaries and ability to time manage daily duties.
The weekly schedule is 1030am-430pm with Wednesdays and Sundays off. 6 hour days - 5 days per week - $18 hourly. 30 hours total per week. This is flexible and can be changed based on your availability.
Responsibilities - Assistance with Daily Living:
-Weekly baths and grooming
-Weekly meal cooking and daily meal preparation
-Weekly laundry and light housekeeping
-Assistance when taking walks outside by the park from time to time (she has a walker)
-Most importantly we’re looking for someone kind with patience as her memory isn’t always what it used to be. A caregiver who can take the lead on daily duties with grace while keeping communication open with daughter/ granddaughter on any needed modifications to ensure a pleasant environment. Looking for someone who’s organized and aims to keep the same routines weekly for best results when working with elderly at early stage Alzheimer’s.
Duties DO NOT include the following: Driving or walking to grocery markets, medication preparation or doctor appointments not necessary (daughter and granddaughter take care of these types of duties/needs and will work as a team with the caregiver).
Hourly wage of $18 paid through Orange County I.H.S.S. If you're not already an IHSS registered provider, a live scan/background check will be required.
