Spinal cord injury male in 50’s visiting New Jersey alone next week for 2 days -need caregiver to travel with him and help every day 2 hours morning and 3 hours night plus as needed in daytime to drive wheelchair van. Flight ticket and accommodation included.
Need to have experience giving suppository.
Training will be provided in Placentia,CA home before the travel.
Morning 7 am : Wake up patient, give him catheter supplies to cath himself, transfer to shower commode chair using transfer board , clean up night urine bag. Patient showers himself, help dry lower extremities, transfer back to bed, help dress, do range of motion and transfer to electric wheelchair for the day.
Need to be committed to job, no shows will not be good as totally dependent. Apply only if feel confident and to be committed.
Night 9 pm : Bowel routine for SCI , transfer to shower commode chair , roll over toilet, insert suppository, do digital stimulation every 20-25 minutes, be careful with hemorrhoids . Continue routine on toilet until empty (lasts about hour and half/two) transfer back to bed, range of motion and position him for the night in bed
