We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant/RDA to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting surfaces
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques
Skills:
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems for dental restorations helpful
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Understanding of infection control protocols and proper sterilization techniques
