Are you an experienced sushi chef with a passion for crafting culinary masterpieces?

Join our team at Origami Handroll Bar where creativity meets tradition. We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic handroller to elevate our dining experience.

Position: Handroller

Key Responsibilities:

Expertly prepare and craft a variety of sushi dishes, both traditional and contemporary.

Ensure the highest quality and freshness of ingredients.

Maintain a clean and organized sushi bar.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate overall menu execution.

Innovate and contribute to the creation of new and exciting sushi offerings.

Provide an engaging and interactive dining experience for guests at the sushi bar.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, with a strong portfolio of sushi creations.

In-depth knowledge of various sushi types, fish, and Japanese culinary techniques.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.

Excellent knife skills and artistic presentation.

Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Creativity and a passion for experimenting with flavors and textures.

Compensation starts at $16 per hour plus tips.

Tips average $10-$20 an hour depending on the day and shift, making your overall pay range $25-$30 an hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute menu items with precision and attention to detail.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Maintain a clean and organized work station.

Follow recipes and portion control guidelines.

Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.

Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.

Requirements:

Must have previous sushi rolling experience.

Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and various cooking techniques.

Ability to work well under pressure and in a high-volume environment.

Attention to detail and a commitment to food quality.

Team player with excellent communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
