Position Overview

We’re seeking a motivated Line Cook to join our back-of-house family. You’ll execute recipes to Hook & Anchor’s exacting standards, manage key stations (hot line, cold line, prep), and maintain a spotless, organized workspace. This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and is critical to delivering the reliable, memorable dining experience our guests love.

Key Responsibilities

Execute daily prep lists: portion proteins, batch sauces & dressings, chop produce, (lobster meat, cioppino mix, ceviche, mac & cheese sauce, and more)

Run one or more stations during service—grill, fry, sauté, cold line—consistently producing high-quality plates on time

Follow recipes, portion guides, and temperature logs to ensure food safety and FIFO inventory control

Maintain a clean, organized station: sanitize surfaces & tools, restock mise en place, monitor walk-in and reach-ins

Communicate clearly with kitchen teammates and front-of-house to optimize flow and manage ticket times

Report prep or service issues immediately to Chef/Kitchen Manager

Participate in weekly team meetings and training to refine techniques and menu knowledge

What We’re Looking For

1–2 years of Line Cook experience, preferably in a high-volume seafood or coastal kitchen

Solid understanding of food safety (ServSafe or equivalent certification a plus)

Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic sauce preparations (aioli, vinaigrettes, cheese sauces, romesco, etc.)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to shifting priorities

Keen attention to detail, reliability, and a genuine pride in your work

Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn
