Kitchen Manager/Chef
Join the team at La Casa Del Camino Hotel in beautiful Laguna Beach, CA! We’re seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Manager/Chef to lead the culinary operations at our renowned dining destinations: The Rooftop Lounge and Casa Bistro.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Create staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and balance labor costs.
Handle inventory control and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation to exceed guest expectations.
Analyze and manage food costs, budgets, and P&L performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with the team on menu development and seasonal specials.
Maintain a hands-on approach, leading by example in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as a chef or kitchen manager in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.
Strong culinary expertise with a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Solid understanding of inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
Knowledge of P&L and budget management.
Manager Food Handler Certificate required.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
