We are looking for an Executive Chef for a full service fine dining Mexican restaurant. We seek an individual that will be able to help oversee all restaurant kitchen operations to ensure excellent food prep, daily service, and smooth and efficient restaurant operations regarding kitchen sanitation and shift flow. We are looking for an individual that goes above and beyond to provide an unforgettable dining experience.
SETTING
Fine dining restaurant with Mexican cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of all of the restaurants kitchen operations
- Staff management. Hire new personnel as needed.
- Demonstrate leadership and assure all personnel are functioning according to job responsibilities.
- Cultivate teamwork and a good environment for all staff.
- Delegate tasks/job duties to other team members.
- Organize and supervise shifts.
- Manage restaurant costs and goods needed for daily operation.
- Train and mentor new hires by providing coaching and performance feedback
- Conduct kitchen line checks, oversee recipes, and enforce food safety in regards to restaurant produce and merch, as well as equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with owners, employees, customers, and other agencies.
Qualifications:
- 4 + years experience as a Sous or Executive Chef.
- Experience in Mexican cuisine is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, motivational and personable skills.
- Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish)
