A DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this position, you will be cross trained as a Cashier for Cafe Gratitude and a Host for Gracias Madre, two restaurants that share a kitchen.
Objectives for both positions include:
Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner
Answering the phone and taking to go orders
Read, understand, and memorize the menu and it's ingredients
Follow all steps of service, including department checklists for opening and closing duties
Maintain cleanliness and restaurant appearance standards; including, but not limited to
bussing tables when necessary, wipe down menu’s, wipe down tables, set up / break down
tables, fold napkins, rearrange dining area when needed
Cashier Specific Objectives Include:
Take guest orders and enter into the computer
Organize all to go orders for efficient and timely pick up
Accurately handle all cash and credit card transactions
Host Specific Objectives Include:
Taking reservations and manage the wait list
Seating guests in order of arrival, evenly distributing tables to server sections
Keeping host station clean and organized
Listening and responding to voicemail messages
AVAILABILITY: Must have weekend availability to be considered for this job. Hosting and/or Barista experience preferred.
COMPENSATION: $16 -18/hr + tips
