shape-shop Inc. is a brand-new muscle recovery studio and start-up company! We have plans to open multiple locations here in beautiful Orange County, with our first studio opening in Costa Mesa. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with the public, providing an excellent level of customer service and who loves coffee! This individual will be preparing and selling coffee in our coffee trailer.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has a strong and dependable work ethic, a positive outgoing personality, is enthusiastic to learn about our company operations. The ideal candidate maintains the ability to not only complete a task with minimal guidance, but to also think ahead and make decisions on their own. Key to the position is the ability to prioritize, be organized, and flexible.

Skills and Responsibilities

-Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.

-High level energy and enthusiasm for customer service.

-Promotes coffee consumption by preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks.

-Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.

-Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino.

-Maintain a clean and well-organized work space

-Generate revenue by attracting new customers, defining new and expanded services and products.

-Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking supplies.

-Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventative maintenance.

-Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.

-Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading coffee, retail trade and food service publications.

Job Skills/Key Qualifications

-Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills

-Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined individual that can work both independently and part of a collaborative team.

-Strong customer service skills.

-Ability to multi-task with strong problem-solving skills and operate under minimal supervision

-Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in all work

-Respect for confidentiality concerning customer, vendor, and company information

-Computer-literate professional with software proficiency for Point-of-Sale systems.

-Candidates should be passionate about people and coffee.

-Ability to genuinely connect with others in a positive way.

-Experience with calibrating machine and ability to correct calibration as needed.

Job Experience

-2 years of customer service experience

-Prior café or coffee shop experience

-Excellent communication and critical thinking

-High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

-Familiarity with point-of-sale software

Requirements

-18 Years of age or older

-Current food handler card

-Previous point-of-sale software use

-Food Handler Card (preferred)

Position

Part-Time, Hourly Position: Mon-Sat, 6:30am-11:30am shift time.
