Job description
The purpose of the Back of House Employee role is to directly support leadership and FOH with a focus on day-to-day preparation and handling food. A strong focus is placed on ensuring the highest standards for quality, consistency, and cleanliness are met each shift. With that said, here are the primary expectations of this role:
Prepares and handles food in accordance with Health Department Standards
Preps all ingredients needed on the daily
Follow all portion and quality standards
Complies with Safety Guidelines when handling kitchen equipment and utensils.
Maintains and stocks designated stations, refrigerators, freezers (if applicable), and storage room
Assist Linh or designated Manager with weekly inventory checks
Preps food according to recipe guidelines and par levels
Label and date all food products in storage and refrigerator and FIFO appropriately
Ensures all products are stored or disposed of properly at the end of shift
Clean food prep equipment and work areas according to health and safety guidelines
Provide friendly and accommodating service with warm vibes to all guests and colleagues
Maintain a high level of productivity utilizing checklists and cleaning schedules
Consistently provide high-quality products to our guests with a sense of urgency and pride in your work
We are all here to ensure the success of NUDAE Coffee. During downtime, ensure the kitchen is clean, product and equipment stored in the proper places, and continuously keep the cafe clean
Utilize Homebase to accurately punch in and out for every shift, break, and lunch
Utilize Homebase to accurately request time off and relay availability to management
Alongside those expectations, a list of responsibilities currently include:
Always utilizing the Daily Checklist and prioritizing its’ tasks
Always utilizing the Opening, Pre-Closing, and Closing Checklists (and reporting discrepancies you find to management)
Keeping up with the Weekly Cleaning Checklist
Provide direct support with special tasks from leadership on a day-to-day basis
This position is starting at $17.00 + Tips - Full Time Opportunity (35-40/week)
