The Dietary Aide will work under the direction of the Administrator to ensure the quality of service is provided to all residents while functioning within the guidelines of facility policies & Title XXII.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Be at least 18 years of age
Have previous experience working in the health care industry
Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks
Knowledge of the general business processes for an adult residential facility
Must possess and maintain clearances from DOJ and FBI as verified by the Live-Scan process
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Moderate standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking, and stairs
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensures delivery of the facility’s dining menu for all residents within medically prescribed limitations of nutritionally balanced meals and snacks
Maintains the kitchen and dining room to acceptable federal, state, city and local regulations and standards
Supervises residents during meal time
Participates in resident meetings as necessary
Works with the registered dietician to improve menu choices
Interacts with residents as necessary during meal times
Coordinates with Activity Coordinator and Medtechs facility events as needed
Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption to the Assisted Living community
Performs any other duties as assigned
