AM Cashier/Line Cook Needed - EggBred Brea/Placentia

We are looking for a great candidate who can be cross-trained as a cashier and line cook to join our team. Cashier duties will consist of interacting with guests and assisting the general manager with daily tasks. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the lead with daily tasks. The successful candidate will be cross trained as both a Cashier and Line Cook.

Cashier Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

Open & close cash register and count cash properly

Place orders in the point of sales system

Answer, report and follow general manager and shift lead instructions

Clean dining hall, restrooms, stations & patio

Ensure that food comes out in high quality and a timely manner via expo station

Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Line Cook Responsibilities:

Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, prepping proteins, or preparing sauces)

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

Clean up stations and take care of leftover food

Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills needed:

Customer service experience is not required but preferred.

Excellent understanding of various cashier equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with industry’s best practices

Experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook not required

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with industry’s best practices

Already have or willing to obtain food handler's certificate.

Weekends and Holidays are required. Currently looking for approximately 10-hours/week with potential for more hours depending on performance and availability.
