Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and interaction
Assist with classroom activities, daily routines, and caregiving tasks
Model appropriate behaviors and language to support children's learning and development
Requirements:
Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, plus Infant/Toddler units. Child Development, Child Family- Community, Early Childhood Curriculum, Infant/ Toddler Curriculum
At least two years of experience working with young children (preferred)
Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
Additional Requirements:
Completion of a physical examination (LIC 503) with proof of immunizations and a current TB test
Live Scan fingerprinting and criminal background clearance
CPR and First Aid certification
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, reaching with hands and arms, lifting/moving 10-40 pounds, bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, squatting, walking or standing for up to 4 hours with a 10 minute break, talking and hearing, and actively engaging in children's play.
