We are seeking a full-time Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our amazing team at Mesa Verde Preschool & Infant Center. This individual must be excited, passionate, energetic, nurturing and dedicated to teaching young minds through play. Qualifications:
12+ Early Childhood Education College Units including:
–3 Additional Units in infant/toddler
Live Scan Fingerprint clearance and background check - DOJ/FBI/Child Abuse Index.
Health Screening.
Mandated Reporter Certificate
Proof of immunity to Measles or MMR Vaccination Record, Pertussis.
Clear TB test or Chest X-ray within last 4 years (and every 4 years thereafter).
Pediatric CPR/FIRST AID Certified.
Current certificate – Mandated Reporter
Creative, patient, has positive attitude, reliable & responsible.
Flexible and has a “team mentality” attitude.
Able to twist, turn, stoop & lift children / equipment up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities:
Under general administrative supervision, provides a caring, responsive environment in a team setting, by meeting the individual needs of each infant and family.
Maintain daily records of Infant/Toddler.
Create, implement and evaluate an engaging, age-appropriate emergent curriculum for children.
Participates in MVP staff development days and regular staff meetings.
Belief that play can be cognitively rich.
Candidate must be comfortable working with others and able to communicate effectively with parents, both in person and in writing.
Desire to support early childhood social, emotional and cognitive development.
Exceptional organization and planning skills.
Committed to collaborating and working as part of a co-teaching team and a larger early childhood team.
This position requires a schedule of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
