Position Overview:
We're seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Counter Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves helping customers find the right products for their projects, processing orders, and maintaining our showroom and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their door and hardware needs
- Provide product recommendations based on customer requirements and budget
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system
- Pull customer orders accurately from warehouse inventory
- Receive and process incoming orders from vendors
- Maintain organized displays and product samples in showroom
- Handle phone inquiries and take orders
- Coordinate with delivery team for customer pickups and deliveries
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Basic math skills and accurate use of tape measure
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Comfortable using computers and learning new software
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
