Job Description: Horizons is seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join our team. The Superintendent will be responsible for monitoring and running multiple small projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain a safe and organized job site.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and construction workers.
Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, inspectors and others.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Provide regular updates and reports on project status as coordinated with project manager.
Requirements:
Between 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial construction projects (Public Works).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership, communication verbally and in-writing, and organizational skills.
Ability to completely read and interpret drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools is a plus.
