We’re looking for a dynamic Commercial Solar Project Manager to support our daily operations and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Summary:

The Commercial Solar Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and closeout of commercial solar installation projects. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with a solid background in project management within the renewable energy or construction industry. The ideal candidate will manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight: Lead commercial solar projects from conception through completion, ensuring all phases are executed effectively.

Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Vendor & Procurement Management: Ensure materials and supplies are ordered in a timely manner and within project budgets.

Subcontractor Management: Ensure subcontractors are meeting budget, schedule and quality requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and clients to align project objectives and resolve issues.

Compliance & Permitting: Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and maintaining safety and environmental standards.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Quality Control: Monitor project progress, perform regular site inspections, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Reporting: Provide regular status updates and detailed reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Budget Management: Track project expenditures and manage cost control measures to ensure financial targets are met.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the solar, renewable energy, or construction industry, with a focus on commercial projects.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of solar design, installation processes, and permitting requirements. Commercial 3 phase electrical knowledge is highly desirable.

Certifications: PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Skills:

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with project management software and tools.

Proficiency with AutoCad design software a big plus.

Ability to analyze data and manage budgets effectively.

Travel: Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
