Responsibilities:
o Prepare & review individual, partnership, corporation, and trust tax returns
o Prepare & review estimated tax & extension computations
o Prepare tax projections & conduct tax planning to reduce clients’ tax burden
o Review clients’ QuickBooks files and recommend AJEs
o Manage client assignments and tax filing deadlines
o Interface with tax authorities (IRS & FTB)
o Communicate with clients
o Perform tax research & planning, and write memo on findings
o Train junior staff
Qualifications:
Must have Bachelor/Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Business Administration
Must have 5+ years of public accounting firm experience
CPA or EA certification required
Broad exposure to federal income taxation
Experienced with tax planning & strategies
Solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping
Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation/review
Ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously
