General Summary: Assist Finance Manager, Controller and Chief Financial Officer in the accurate preparation of budgets, schedules, and financial statements for a multi-office law firm. Develop custom reports by accessing information in financial databases. Must be able to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Actively participate in the monthly closing process of the Firm’s accounting system.

Maintain strict confidentiality of business systems data while assisting other departments in furnishing financial information and financial reports to enhance firm performance.

Prepare and analyze the Firm’s monthly financial package and presentations.

Assist in preparation of annual budgets and provide ongoing budget variance analysis.

Develop reports for financial and admin resources using Power BI, SQL, SSAS, SSRS, Excel, and other tools that access the firm’s financial and other databases.

Assist with other related projects including the firm’s monthly and year-end tax reporting and audit.

Assist various firm committees with the collection and reporting of data for their use, as well as preparation of other reports and graphs, as assigned by management.

Create and maintain EA Pro Dashboards and security modules.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science or related field required.

Law firm experience specifically with Aderant software is preferred but not required.

Must have prior background working extensively with dashboards, Excel, SSRS, report writers and other SQL database extraction tools.

Accounting knowledge with ability to identify potential errors and analyze budget variances in financial statements.

Ability to analyze and solve problems.

Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner.

Advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Excel, Python, and PowerBI.

Advanced knowledge and skill with various software packages including PowerQuery, word processing, databases and report writing software, such as SQL Query Analyzer.

Proficient at SQL select statements and relational database structures.

Ability to quickly learn software applications used for database information reporting.

Supervisors: Finance Manager

Status: : Non-Exempt

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:30p.m. Hybrid options available. This position depends upon the ability of the employee to work closely with attorneys and staff members during regularly scheduled hours. This position requires the ability to work overtime, which often cannot be predicted.
