Job Title: Accounting Manager

Department: Finance

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Hybrid Schedule

Pay: $35-$37 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting manager to lead our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks and executing our financial strategy. This role involves overseeing financial operations, preparing statements, establishing protocols, and ensuring accuracy in financial data. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in providing timely financial insights to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

Maintain cash schedules.

Process bank transfers.

Handle check deposits.

Manage incoming mail.

Establish electronic payments.

Record non-credit card expenses.

Weekly Tasks:

Prepare financial projections.

Update cash forecasts.

Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Facilitate loan transfers.

Review transactions and operational expenses.

Obtain statements from E-commerce vendors.

Bi-Monthly:

Process payroll.

Administer payments to Virtual Assistants.

Provide sales reports.

Monthly Responsibilities:

Maintain depreciation schedules.

Handle accruals.

Supervise rebate programs.

Calculate and execute commissions.

Manage inventory adjustments and Marketing Development Funds (MDFs).

Review and update rebate schedules.

Prepare financial reports.

Process payments.

Quarterly:

Distribute checks.

Yearly:

Oversee employee insurance deductions.

Prepare for annual reviews.

Miscellaneous:

Prepare and issue checks.

Manage reimbursements and employee purchases.

Handle inventory transactions.

Process financial requests and adjustments.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including managerial roles.

Proficiency in Sage 500.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Experience with payroll processing and financial forecasting.

Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Additional Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking skills.

Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.

Working Conditions:

Full-time hybrid role requiring a standard 40-hour workweek.

Some overtime may be necessary during peak periods.

Initial in-office training may require 5 days of office attendance.
