Overall responsibility of Accounting Assistant:
The Accounting Assistant's role is to provide support to the Accounting Department. Duties include but not limited to: general construction project coordination, office management, and accounting assistance. This individual must project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.
Key areas of responsibility:
Assist Accounting Department
Answer phone calls, voice messages, and emails accordingly
Track and disperse all new client leads
Maintain sales reports monthly & Job cost
File paperwork in the correct place with attention to detail, to allow for quick and easy access
Manage overall organization within office
Candidate must possess the following skills/traits:
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop
Knowledge of construction concepts, practices, and procedures
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Works well independently and within a group environment
Very organized with a high attention to detail required
Works well in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Enjoys improving procedures to create a more efficient work environment
Construction experience required 2+ years. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Experience with prevailing wage - paying & filing preferred but not required
