Principal Water Treatment Engineer (Modeling & Regulatory Compliance)

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Water Treatment Engineer to join our dynamic Pacific West Water Team. This role focuses on water treatment design and modeling in addition to regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a passion for advancing water treatment technologies.Key Responsibilities:Lead the modeling and simulation of water treatment processes, utilizing advanced computational tools and techniques.Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and standards, including but not limited to the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act.Conduct assessments and identify areas for improvement in existing water treatment systems.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative water treatment solutions.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and documentation for regulatory submissions.Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, clients, and community members, to discuss project developments and compliance matters.
