Job Title: Accounts Payable LeadJob DescriptionThis position requires the employee to enter a high volume of invoices, be extremely detail-oriented, and understand international processing. The role involves researching discrepancies and collaborating with various departments and vendors worldwide. The individual will manage vendor accounts, including reconciling statements to ensure timely invoice payments. The candidate must be a team player and eager to learn.Responsibilities
Manage vendor accounts
Large volume data entry
Reconcile statements (proficient in Excel vlookups required)
Understand requirements for international/overseas shipments/business
Research problem invoices with internal departments & vendors
Validate vendor information
GL coding invoices
Receipt of goods/receipt of invoice
Month end closing procedures
Open/stamp mail
Handle escheatment
Perform other duties as required
Essential Skills
3-5 years of Accounts Payable/Accounting experience
Experience and understanding in processing invoices internationally (required documentation, charges)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word (vlookups, pivot tables)
SAP experience preferred
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Must be a team player & able to work with other individuals in & outside the department (at various levels) in a positive manner
Must be organized & meet deadlines
Must be able to prioritize
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be able to research, problem solve, & identify solutions
Superior attention to detail
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in auditing/posting with an understanding of GL postings
Ability to learn policies/procedures quickly
Work EnvironmentProfessional office setting, open environment with 55 people in the department. Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
