Description A Robert Half Management Resources client needs an interim Project Manager to oversee our Accounts Receivable department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects related to accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. They will play a crucial role in optimizing our accounts receivable processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing overall financial performance.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Management:Develop project plans, timelines, and objectives for accounts receivable initiatives.Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Process Improvement:Evaluate current accounts receivable processes and identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement strategies to streamline invoicing, payment processing, and collections.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate repetitive tasks and optimize workflows.Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness.Team Leadership and Development:Lead a team of accounts receivable professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.Set clear goals and expectations for team members, and ensure accountability for results.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team.Stakeholder Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding accounts receivable projects.Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges effectively to all stakeholders.Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment and coordination.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.Proven experience (7 years) as a project manager or similar role, preferably in accounts receivable or finance.Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, payments, and collections.Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.Proficiency in project management tools and software.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
