Description A well-established organization in Oceanside is looking for a meticulous and organized Payroll Clerk to join their team. This role is ideal for a professional with a keen eye for detail and experience in payroll processing who is eager to contribute to a dynamic workplace.Key Responsibilities:
Process biweekly and/or monthly payroll for company staff in compliance with state and federal laws.
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, and overtime.
Manage and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, benefits, and deductions.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll changes (hires, terminations, status updates) are implemented correctly.
Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks.
Strong knowledge of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
High school diploma required; associate degree or additional certifications (e.g., CPP) preferred.
