Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Supervisor Patient Services in Oakland, California. This role involves managing technical and clerical staff to ensure efficient functioning of patient services, particularly in relation to Medi-Cal program eligibility and payment source documentation and processing. The position is based on-site and will require coordination with other hospital agency departments. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the work of technical and clerical staff involved in Medi-Cal program eligibility and payment source documentation and processing. Attend meetings and maintain good communication with personnel in other units. Train staff on changes in aid regulations and implement new regulations. Coordinate the recording and accumulation of statistical information for report preparation. Evaluate employee performance and assist in their development. Handle complex complaints or problems requiring an overall knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. Interview, select, train, and orient new staff members. Oversee the preparation of budget requests and control expenditures for the unit. Review Medi-Cal applications taken by Patient Services Technicians for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate work of the unit with the requirements of other hospital agency departments. If you are interested, please call us immediately at (510) 470-7450 Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Strong communication and written communication skills Experience in documentation and review processes Ability to conduct training sessions in a detail oriented manner Knowledge of planning and budget processes Familiarity with procedures and policy implementation Leadership skills to manage a team Ability to handle clerical duties efficiently Knowledge of regulations and principles related to patient services Experience in handling patient complaints and providing counseling Understanding of expenditure management Ability to prepare reports as required Proven decision-making skills Knowledge of 'About Time' software is preferred Experience in patient access management Ability to conduct operations in a detail oriented manner.
