Description We are offering a position for a Property Administrator in Oakland, California. The role involves managing various tasks related to property administration in the telecom industry. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Answering phones in a professional and courteous manner Welcoming and assisting applicants, residents, and vendors Assisting in marketing efforts such as mailing marketing materials and tracking results Meeting with prospective tenants and providing tours of the units Ensuring rental applications are completed accurately and completely Assisting the Community Manager in entering pre-applications into the waitlist software system Making calls to applicants on the waitlist for vacant units and tracking all responses Assisting the Community Manager in scheduling certification appointments and collecting all relevant data to process applicant certification Initiating application background screening and approval process Receiving and completing resident work orders and maintaining the Work Order Logbook Preparing and delivering general notices for the Community Manager as needed Collecting rent payments and security deposits under the Community Manager's supervision Storing all relevant documentation into resident files Coordinating resident social functions and communications Utilizing skills in HUD and Section 8 to perform duties effectively. Requirements Possess a thorough understanding of HUD and Section 8 regulations and procedures Hold a track record of successful administrative experience, preferably in the property or real estate sector Exhibit strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and property management software Have the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines Show proficiency in managing and maintaining property records and documentation Be capable of coordinating with various stakeholders including tenants, maintenance staff, and property owners Display a strong commitment to customer service and client satisfaction Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Possess problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Show a willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and changes in property laws and regulations.
