Description If you are earnestly looking for your next big career move as a Contracts Manager, you may be interested in this long-term contract position with a educational government entity. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the contractual agreements that support the operation of school districts. This is a contract/temporary role is fully remote, candidates must be based in California.Your key responsibilities will include:

Drafting, redlining, and negotiating vendor contracts, including Master Service Agreements (MSA), renewals, and Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements.

Efficiently managing and administering contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

Leveraging your experience with procurement to assist in the acquisition of goods and services, helping ensure that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.

Identifying and assessing potential risk factors within contracts, proposing mitigation strategies, and ensuring that the school district's interests are protected.

Managing a library of templated contracts, making necessary adjustments as needed while ensuring consistency and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

A proven track record in drafting, redlining, and negotiating various contracts, including vendor agreements. Experience with Master Service Agreements and SaaS contracts is highly desirable.

Strong contract administration skills, with the ability to manage and track contract obligations, milestones, and renewals.

A background in procurement, understanding procurement processes, and regulations is a significant advantage.

The ability to assess and identify potential risk factors within contracts and the skills to develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

An eye for detail, ensuring contracts are accurate and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Candidates must be based in California
