Big Data Scientist

Our client is an integrated managed healthcare organization. Their IT department is nimble and dynamic and works with cutting-edge technologies. They are currently in need of a Big Data Scientist. This position is remote for now and will be based out of Oakland, CA location post-Covid. It is a long-term CTH position. (The client will not sponsor any kind of visa for this position) This Senior level individual contributor is primarily responsible for serving as the lead technical expert on project teams, contributing to technical directions for varying technical solutions, and ensuring IT systems are effectively utilized. Qualifications: Minimum 8 years experience in IT consulting. Machine Learning methods and Data mining, including the use of two or more novel/emerging methods in supervised learning (example: Standard regression, shrinkage methods, subset selection, discriminant analysis, tree-based methods, boosting, random forests, support vector machines, neural networks, ), unsupervised learning (clustering, self-organizing maps, principal component analysis, etc) and ensemble modeling, distributed computing methodology. Distributed computing methodology, both in terms of HW (working across multiple servers) as well as SW tools (Hadoop, H2O, etc.) In-memory analytic pkgs (R, Python, Scala, SPARK) and visualization SW (example: Tableau) Keywords and must-have skills: Python, Spark, Hadoop / CDH, H2O / Stream, Map R, Tensorflow, Apache Airflow, Apache Toree, Jupyterhub, RStudio, Pytorch, ELK, Openvino, MySQL, Gitlab, Traefik, Prometheus, Grafana, Node Manager, Alert Manager, and vault.
