ROLE OVERVIEW

Alameda Health System is hiring! The Academic Clinical Liaison provides ongoing administrative support of clinical education for students and clinical sites in collaboration with Alameda Health System and the academic or vocational institutions; initiates and develop relationships with key influencers, lead on and execute robust communication, events, and marketing plans to enhance the reputation, raise awareness and establish the AHS Care Scholars Program.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by everyone in the classification.

Facilitates activities and events, including enrollment and award ceremonies, internal and external audits.

Develops and maintains relationships with educational institutions, providing advice and support to students and staff, and monitoring educational trends and initiatives.

Acts as point-of-contact and initiator for collaborative efforts involving the AHS Health Scholars Program.

Convenes and participates in regular planning meetings with academic or vocational staff that focuses on the ongoing development of the scope and sequence of the AHS Health Scholars Program, and the development of academic partnership activities.

Collaborates with AHS leaders and Academic brokers to provide students with a supportive educational environment conducive to meeting course requirements.

Develops and fosters relationships with the community and academic stakeholders, and other entities.

Collects, analyzes, and utilizes data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between the business and the other entity.

Compiles reports about incidents, events, or updates about relevant and key issues for the program.

Social media management and monitoring for the AHS Health Scholars Program in conjunction with PACE.

Tracks requests for clinical rotations with clinical affiliates.

Collects required clinical documents and maintains student clinical files.

Schedules background checks for clinical requirements.

Assists with coordination of clinical experiences which meet educational requirements for students in all nursing courses and program options.

Assists with coordination of schedules and student rosters for clinical groups.

Visits clinical agency partners to coordinate scheduling and student documentation requirements.

Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field.

Required Experience: Clinical educator in an acute care setting, clinical faculty in an academic setting; experience with nursing or allied health clinical rotation management and documentation.

Preferred Experience: Clinical educator in an acute care setting, clinical faculty in an academic setting; graphic design experience, using online tools for infographics and image editing for social media; experience in event planning.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California; BLS - Basic Life Support Certification - issued by AHA-American Heart Association.
