Description As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate and timely financial reporting and insights.Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting: Oversee and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
Month-End Close: Drive the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and accruals.
Audit Support: Assist with external and internal audit preparation by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate policies, and accounting principles.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Analysis: Perform variance analysis for financial results and provide actionable recommendations to management when necessary.
Collaboration: Work closely with FP& A, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other departments to ensure financial consistency and alignment.
Systems Proficiency: Maintain and improve the utilization of ERP systems and accounting software.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
At least 3–5 years of general accounting experience, with prior experience in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Advanced proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and accuracy skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of compliance reporting and experience with audits is a plus.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA.
Experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, manufacturing).
Familiarity with implementing AI platforms for accounting or experience in AI-driven financial analysis.
