Position Overview:Novato Community Hospital is a 47-bed acute-care hospital located approximately 30 miles north of San Francisco. It is a part of the Sutter Health network of doctors, not-for-profit hospitals and other health care service providers sharing resources and expertise to advance health care quality and access in the more than 100 Northern California cities and communities.Under the direction of the Chairman of the Department of Imaging Services, and the supervision of the department manager, performs radiographic procedures on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ionizing radiation for a radiologic diagnosis. Is assigned responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Radiological Technologist II will have their CRT certification plus perform competently in two of the following modalities:Computed Tomography Magnetic ResonanceXR / Fluoroscopy MammographyQualifications:Education:Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Must be certified by the California Department of Health Services as a Certified Radiologic Technologist. National Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist preferred. Fluoroscopy permit required. Basic Life Support Certification required.Knowledge:Highly motivated and organized individuals who can balance patient care, productivity and radiation safety.
