Big Canyon Country Club is a private country club that fosters a culture focused on the growth and development of its team, all while providing the best in hospitality and experiences for its members and their families. Lifeguard Big Canyon Country Club is currently looking for exceptional lifeguards who are proactive and focus on everyone’s safety. Please keep in mind that this position is part-time and will require you to work on holidays and weekends. The Pool is open on Memorial Day weekend (May 25th) and closes on Labor Day (September 2nd). New Hire Orientation will be May 18th, 2024. The shifts will be Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Please keep in mind some night, weekend, and holiday shifts will be required throughout the summer and we are looking for individuals who will be able to work the full Pool season. Duties & Expectations
Ensure the safety of all members, children, and staff in and around the pool, while administering all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
Recognize and respond professionally and effectively during emergencies.
Demonstrate courtesy towards children and families within day-to-day operations.
Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
Complete additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
QualificationsSkills & Qualifications
Must be able to swim.
Current certification in the following: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid
Pre-employment testing of lifeguarding skills and knowledge
Walking and standing for extended periods of time.
Occasionally bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and reaching above the shoulder.
Some light lifting and carrying of children as well as pushing/pulling objects.
Participating in various recreational activities.
There will be Indoor/outdoor facilities, swimming pools, and exposure to the sun.
Possess a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with all departments and members
