Based in Newport Beach, California, this entry-level Accountant job is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.Key responsibilities
Executing alternate duties and partaking in special projects as assigned
Researching and rectifying account discrepancies
Put together monthly journal entries
Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Log data Requirements - Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
High attention to detail
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Strong familiarity with journal entries
Sage 100 experience desired
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
Suggested education is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Outstanding data entry skills
At minimum, 1 year of relevant accounting experience
