These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Accountant (exempt)Teledyne ETM is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant in our Newark, California office, reporting to Controller.In this role, you will support our Accounting Department in various tasks, with the opportunity to learn and grow.Annual Rate $75k-$125k DOE + Annual Bonus IncentiveResponsibilities

Assist with financial close tasks & reporting.

Prepare & enter Journal entries

Perform monthy balance sheet reconciliations.

Support internal & external audits

Daily review of banking transactions and cash reconciliations

Analyze Labor & Inventory costs

Administer and maintain company credit card accounts

Work collaboratively with other departments within the organization.

Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise

Support functional accounting by managing general ledger transactions on an on going basis.

Perform various general ledger reconciliations in preparation for month end close.

Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control requirements.

Support various quarterly and annual financial audits.

Ad Hoc analysis as needed.

Assist with other assigned tasks as needed

Work availability can include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines

Requirements and Skills

Strong understanding of operational accounting & financials statements

Month-end close responsibility experience

Cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment a plus

Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable experience a plus

Advanced Excel skills required

Problem Solving Skills

Be a team player, supporting and helping others with a positive attitude

Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational & time management skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Adherence to all company policies, procedures and safety rules

Must have Initiative and be a self-starter

Experience/Education

Bachelors degree ,CPA license and/or Master’s preferred. College Degree in Accounting or Finance from

an accredited college or university

Minimum 3 year of hands-on working experience in similar listed responsibilities.

Working knowledge of SOX and GAAP

Work Experience of ERP systems with accounting transactions, e.g. Oracle, SAP
