Description We are seeking a Patient Care Representative based in Newark, California. The role is part of the healthcare industry and is primarily responsible for managing customer interactions in a call center setting. This includes processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Respond to high-volume of incoming and outgoing telephone calls and faxed referrals Coordinate care by scheduling, editing and maintaining routine patient physician appointments for new and returning patients Facilitate communication between the patient and the physician or clinic Accurately document and route calls to the appropriate department Identify urgent customer needs or operational issues, and escalate appropriately Work closely with care teams, patients, and external facilities to obtain necessary information required for care Communicate with the care team and support staff on various patient issues Update and maintain insurance information Deliver high-level of customer service following documented protocols and guidelines Use reference documents and online knowledgebase tools to articulate accurate information regarding services. Requirements Role requires proficiency in Call Center Customer Service. Must have strong skills in Customer Service. Experience in Answering Inbound Calls is necessary. Ability to handle Answering Multi-Line Phone System. No minimum years of experience required, open to all levels of experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High attention to detail and ability to multitask. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. High level of empathy and understanding. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Strong time management skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Basic computer skills and familiarity with healthcare software is a plus.
