Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization’s financial goals. This position is ideal for a results-driven and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and advanced analytical skills.Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and maintain adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Manage fixed asset accounting, including maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and reconciling audit findings.
Review and improve accounting workflows, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency.
Oversee and mentor junior accounting staff as necessary, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
Research and implement new accounting standards as applicable.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to drive financial excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
Advanced proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, and strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
