The Sales Director is a complex deal shaper that aligns to client imperatives and solves business problems. They manage opportunities from sales pursuit to close through developing relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new and or existing clients to protect and grow the business, by using deep sales process and offering expertise and Software & Platform Industry accumen. Additionally, they act as point of contact for resolution and escalation of all key pursuit items with the client and internally.Responsibilities include:

Partner with the Software & Platform Sales, Innovation & Growth Lead – US and, West Software & Platform Segment Lead to align on priorities and help define the growth agenda

Proactively generate and build client relationships (qualify, solution, negotiate, close).

Originate, shape, sell and close deals typically greater than $5M.

Articulate a compelling and differentiating value proposition to the client, that aligns to their business imperatives.

Create a compelling vision for the deal outcome through active listening, storytelling, and immersive experiences.

Support and lead business negotiation for Accenture’s most complex deals.

Advise and coach deal teams on how to develop win strategy, prepare and conduct negotiations including debriefs internally and with the client.

Work closely with the Client Account Leads, the client teams and relevant subject matter experts.

Engage the firm’s leadership as appropriate and shepherd the deal through the firm’s approval process.

Provide discipline and rigor to the sales process as an expert on sales best practices.

Drive the perpetual end-to-end sales engine (origination qualification, win strategy, deal pursuits, close plans)

Successfully lead and align a complex network of stakeholders.

Bring the right talent to the sales opportunities at the right time.

Travel as required, up to 100%

Here’s What you Need:

Minimum of 8 years of experience shaping, negotiating, and closing large deals in the professional services space

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Software & Platforms sector with understanding of technology and business processes with existing relationships in the Pacific West.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in direct sales with quotas of $15 - $25M+ dependent on industry and portfolio.

Bonus points if you have:

Bachelor's degree

Origination skills with C-suite executive presence

Technology understanding and experience.

Experience growing a profitable sales pipeline and/or backlog along with the ability to articulate a compelling and differentiating value proposition to the client which is also profitable to Accenture.

Experience collaborating with sales colleagues to ensure efficient and effective use of business development resources.
