At BetterHelp, you’ll carve your own path, make an immediate impact, and be challenged every day – with a supportive community behind you the whole way.What are we looking for?BetterHelp is looking for a Partnerships Business Development Manager to scale new user acquisition by sourcing, prospecting and launching net new marketing partnerships. Partnerships is one of BetterHelp’s largest marketing channels, driving thousands of new clients to Betterhelp each month. Some current partners include health and wellness media publishers, women’s lifestyle brands, newsletters, employee perks and rewards programs, mental health apps, and many more affiliates and brand partners.In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by using your Sales and Bus Dev skills to source and establish net new marketing partnerships, which will bring new clients and revenue to BetterHelp. Ideally, you have proven success in sales, business development, and/or affiliate marketing. You are excited about prospecting new partners, closing deals, developing new relationships and scaling them to high-performing partnerships. You thrive in a fast-paced, performance role. Identify, source, and prospect new potential partners and affiliates, growing our partner portfolio.

Explore new avenues for affiliate and partner growth within the D2C health and wellness industry and beyond.

Establish, build and maintain relationships with affiliates and partners: including negotiations, optimizing and reporting on campaign performance, forming creative strategies and objectives, conflict resolution, managing budgets, and more.

Continuously evaluate and test potential sources of high-quality traffic and improve scale partnership performance before handing off to our Partnerships Success Manager (approx 6 months after launching).

Identify, evaluate and explore new partnerships, verticals, and different business models, and test new potential revenue streams - We love creative and smart experimentation!

Collaborate with cross-functional teams:

Marketing: incorporate learnings from other channels across our partner portfolio; A/B test new creatives and ad copy across partners and affiliates

Legal and Compliance: to ensure the appropriate agreements are executed across new partners; facilitate redlines or terms negotiations if necessary

Data: to analyze the performance of campaigns and gain additional campaign performance and user insights

Product: to find product-related wins within the partner channel; to communicate new, valuable customer features to content partners for content refreshes

Requirements

2 Years of experience in similar position(s) with a track record of success in either: business development or D2C affiliate marketing (bonus points for health and wellness experience).

Demonstrated track record of successfully prospecting, closing deals, and onboarding high value and high quality partners and/or affiliates.

Advanced understanding of the affiliate marketing channel and its role in driving D2C e-commerce growth (bonus if in the health and wellness industry!).

Deep knowledge of Marketing (Partnership) KPIs, especially CPAs, ROAS and EPC (what goes into it and why it’s important).

Proven ability to recruit, activate, and optimize key partners for maximum results.

Experience using market-leading affiliate tracking SaaS, such as Impact, TUNE, or CJ

Knowledge of how to identify and classify top opportunities for growth and expansion.

Experience with sales tools including: Salesforce, ZoomInfo/Apollo

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendors and partners.

Creative, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic deal closer who thrives in a startup environment and is able to pivot priorities quickly and balance multiple projects.

Exceptional communication (oral and written), presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to close deals and campaigns with partners on all levels.

Ability to create strong rapport and build and foster long-term impactful relationships.

Diligent, thorough and uncompromising in respect to maintaining excellent partner relationships, brand safety and any legal compliance.

Bonus (great to have but not required):

Experience with paid media marketing campaigns and tools (Facebook, Adwords, etc)

Bachelor’s in Marketing Strategy, Business Development, Sales, or any quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Math, or Economics

Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, Google Analytics

Experience in Healthtech industry

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.
